Enable the cookie consent banner

To comply with data privacy regulations, Jumpseller provides two main methods to implement a cookie consent banner in your store. Both processes are detailed below.

Method 1: Native Theme Configuration (Recommended)

Available for themes version 4.13.2 or higher.

This option is the most efficient, as it integrates directly into the theme code without affecting page loading speed.

1. Check your theme version
   Make sure your theme is updated to version 4.13.2 or higher.

2. Access the Visual Editor
   From your Jumpseller admin panel, go to Themes > Visual Editor and open the Theme Settings section.

3. Locate the Banner
   In the side menu, look for the Cookie Consent Banner option.

   

4. Enable the feature
   Enable the option to display the banner in your store.

5. Configure the texts
   Fill in the corresponding text fields.

6. Link your Policy
   Add the link to your Cookie Policy or Legal Notice page.

7. Save
   Click Save to publish the changes.

Method 2: Using the “Cookie Consent” App

Ideal if you are using an older theme or prefer external management.

Cookie Consent is a free JavaScript plugin that alerts users about the use of cookies on your website. It is designed to help you comply with cookie laws in different countries.

Step by step

1. Install the app from the Apps section.
2. Configure the visual style and message.
3. Link your legal policies.
4. Save and verify that the app status is Active.

Tip: Do not activate both methods at the same time to avoid multiple banners.
